Troop 500 Photo gallery Instructions 

 

 

The Troop 500 Photo galary uses a commercial program called "gallery" and is a simple way to share your Troop 500 photos. Follow these steps to upload your photos:

 

Create an account/login: on the Gallery page (under the main Photo Gallery tab) there is a links to login and register. If you have not registered, you will need to do that, simply enter a username and password for your Gallery account. After you have registered, login at later sessions.

 

Once you are logged in, you will see options for adding albums and adding items (photos). If you would like to start a new album (under one of the the existing main groups, such as hiking or camping), click on the main heading, then add the album (this will add the album under that heading).

 

In the new or existing album, you can then upload your pictures from your own computer. Note there is a size limitation for each file. In general, web photos such as these do not need to be very high resolution, a size of 640x480 for a horizontal picture is fine. If your pictures are bigger, you will need to resize them before you upload. This can be done with several photo editing packages. "Fotosizer" is a free package on the Web that can resize multiple images at once. Also note that photos must be uploaded in small batches (2, 3 or 4 per upload), there is no way to do a batch upload.

 

After your photos are uploaded, you can edit the albums, text etc.
