Troop 500 Spaghetti Dinner and Auction

Wednesday May 2nd, 2012, 5:00 pm, Portuguese Hall, Point Loma

The Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auction is Troop 500’s primary fundraising event for the year. The scouts, leaders and parents plan for, organize and hold a dinner and auction, inviting people from across the community, at which numerous items donated by community businesses and troop families are auctioned off.

Each Troop 500 family should plan on purchasing 8 tickets to the event, and either use them (Scouts in uniform do not need a ticket), sell them or give them to family and friends (especially to people that will bid lots of money!). Tickets will be for sale every Wed at the regular Troop meeting, see Mrs. Wilson or Mr. Omens in the back of the room.

In order to make the auction as success, we need donations! If you would like to support the troop, please donate an item that will work well at a silent auction, for example, tents, stoves, sleeping mats, etc. always are big hits. These can be brought to any Wed. troop meeting. Also, if you have any contacts for food donations for a spaghetti feast, let us know. Finally, we have a live auction with larger items (valued at $250 or more) such as vacation rentals or other large items, if you have a contact for one of these, please let us know. All of the proceeds from the auction go toward the Troop and our activities.

If you would like to help with the auction in any fashion, contact the auction chair, Jeff Omens (jeff@omens.com). Thanks for your support.
