Remember if are a Scout and have a leadership position in the Troop, there are Troop Leader Council meetings the first Wednesday of each month at 6:15 before the regular troop meeting. The last meeting this year will be May 9th.
Congratulations to the BattleSnake Patrol for "TOP SPOON" honors for Troop 500 during the March 2012 Painted Rock weekend at Indian Hills. The chefs served the judges a tasty sampling of their evening quesadillas meal. It is the second consecutive honor for the patrol. Their first honor was at bestowed at Rocket Camp in December 2011 where the Scout chefs served a killer bean and cheese burrito. An honorable mention was given to the SNIPES patrol for their total patrol involvement. The judges for Painted Rock where SM Shinohara, ASM Briest and Senior Patrol and Trek Lead Daniel Wheeler.
I would like to announce and congratulate Aaron Bagnell for becoming the most recent Eagle Scout recorded by the San Diego Imperial Council on April 11, 2012. I would also like to recognize ASM Richard Bagnell and family for their strong work and tireless effort. Aaron is a senior at Point Loma High and plans to attend a 4year university next year majoring in physics. Congratulations to Aaron for a job well done!

The Boy Scouts of America is an ethics based organization focusing on communityservice and leadership development for over 100 years. Troop 500 serves the Point Loma and Ocean Beach neighborhoods and has a long history of Eagle Scout community service projects including park repair, restoration projects, treeplantings and more. Come join Troop 500 on kayak trips down the Colorado River, hiking the Grand Canyon and fishing the Channel Islands. The Boy Scouts of America provides service today and the leaders of tomorrow. Troop meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights at Saint Agnes Parish Hall at the corner of Evergreen Street and Avenida de Portugal in Point Loma.
